After 16 years since Ultima VII, I have found yet another excellent RPG game, in the form of Dragon Age: Origins.
You, the player, are a Grey Warden, destined to destroy the darkspawn and stop the next Blight, recruiting companions along the way to achieve just that.
There are 3 different races with 3 different classes to choose from, the player can have many possible beginnings as well as endings. And don't forget Bioware's famous "choose-your-own-sex-partner"! (there is no nudity though, but hey, it is fun!)
As with the Mass Effect series, whatever you do in the game will have consequences in the future, so it is also a "choose-your-own-adventure" game!
And you ask why is this game not better than the Mass Effect series in my ranking? I seriously cannot think of any, just that Mass Effect came first...
