Change of GamerTag and Profile Pic

After so long playing games and using the handle "TheAvt", I have decided to change it to "Avenwood".  This is mostly because my gaming buddies could not pronounce "TheAvt".

Oh, I have an Instagram account that showcases my hobby, ie collecting Transformers, GI Joe, Marvel and Star Wars toys.  Check it out here --> Instagram.com/AvenwoodMaximus

So if you see the profile picture below with the name "Avenwood", it used to be "TheAvt":

Game on!

Dec 2014 Quarterly Games Completion Report (QGCR)

As mentioned back in August 2014, I am going to list down the games that I have completed (not including achievements) within this current quarter. Therefore, here's my first official Quarterly Games Completion Report (QGCR):

- Back to Bed
- Halo: Spartan Assault
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
- Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
- Shadowgrounds
- Shadowgrounds: Survivor
- Velvet Assassin

And I will also include the overall most enjoyable game I played and completed within this quarter: Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition:

Expect these reports at the end of March, June, September and December from now on.

Tomb Raider (2013) #tombraider

I may just do this every 3 months. So, the last time I posted here was to recall the games that I have completed, story wise that is, forget about completing achievements. And for the past 3 months, I had completed the following games:

- Just Cause 2
- Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
- Max Payne 3
- Prototype
- Saints Row: The Third
- Tomb Raider (2013)

And a special mention to Tomb Raider (2013), one of the most enjoyable games I had ever played and completed today:

Saints Row The Third #saintsrow

Long time no post about what PC games I play, because I was busy with real life (husband and daddy responsibilities).  However, I did manage to squeeze in time to play and complete the following games after my run with Guild Wars 2:

- Back to the Future: The Game (all episodes)
- Batman Arkham Asylum
- Bioshock
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
- Duke Nukem Forever
- Just Cause
- Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
- Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
- Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death
- Soul Gambler

I am currently playing Saints Row: The Third, and I must say, it plays better than the Grand Theft Auto series in my opinion.

And check out my customized in-game avatar!

Oh, I wish I have those abs, but I just have the baldness and the beard.

Not going into boring details here about the game because you can read about it elsewhere on the internet. For those who haven't tried this game, what the hell are you waiting for? Do it now!

Gamer Fingers

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Let me start the year off by not reviewing any games, but by showing you what I found on www.sgag.sg regarding the fingers of a gamer:

So true...

Different Types of Gamers

Which one are you?

Computer Gaming World Archive!

Check out what I found out! Someone has scanned and archive all Computer Gaming World from the 1st issue to the last issue! It was THE magazine I read for my PC gaming news and reviews back in the early 1990s. Well, since the dominance of the internet in the late 1990s, I started to read PC gaming news online, which I supposed led to the decline in printed PC gaming magazines.

Anyway, check out all the wonderful magazines and thank the people who brought us Computer Gaming World Museum:

Android Games Part 2

Happy Halloween Fellow Gamers! These are some of the Android games I've played on either my Android phone or Android tablet.  The gamplay of these HD games are not too bad.  Mobile games have really come a long way!

Backstab:

Grand Theft Auto III:

Max Payne:

Shadowgun:

Tintin:

Gaming Companies (Friends?)

I thought I will take a break from talking about Star Citizen and post something you may have seen on the internet. Because Star Citizen is using crowdfunding, I thought I should mention other "traditional" gaming companies below as if they were your friends:

At the moment, my only friend is Valve!

MSI GE620DX Gaming Laptop

I finally bought a gaming laptop today, 4 days after Mass Effect 3 was released! It's the MSI GE620DX Gaming Laptop:

It was the cheapest gaming laptop during that time, and I foresee playing games at my friend's place instead of at home... and guess what the 1st game I played on this laptop? Yes! Mass Effect 3! Stunning!

Android Games Part 1

Despite having no time to play PC games, I managed to complete this Android game called, "Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty". I could only play it when all my family members were either asleep and or not crying.

It was an easy game to play and I managed to obtain 3 different costumes for Cappy. 1st one was the same one in the movie, so that was already "given":

Oh, did I mention I can also play old PC games like, Day of the Tentacle:

and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis:

on my ASUS EeePad Transformer as well?

Razer Gaming Laptop released today!

Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you the World's First True Gaming Laptop! It's the Razer Blade:

This laptop is uber cool! Too bad I cannot have it. Not that I cannot afford it, it's more like a father with 2 kids just doesn't have the time to play with this laptop!

WASD keys

Gamers will recognise these letters:

WASD - They are the directional keys to any first-person or third-person shooting games. Yeah, I was bored today that's why...
